Richard (Dick) and Laura Jones
Hi, my name is Dick Jones. My wife of 27 years, Laura, and our two dalmatians (Chip and Crystal), live in Truth or Consequences New Mexico USA (believe it or not!) on a couple of acres of commercial land where RJ Enterprises is located. I have been writing custom software and manufacturing computers since 1980. Starting in CP/M and then transitioning to the 'new' IBM PC and MS-DOS platform. Laura is the Business manager (Head bean counter) for the Truth or Consequences School system. She has two BS degrees. While I have an AS degree in Agriculture and a degree in computer science. I was raised on a small cattle ranch and commercial apple farm which my dad still owns. There is an air strip where the orchard used to be and the range land is leased out. We, by choice, have no children and are in our late 40's. Our main hobbies are flying light aircraft, fishing in the lake we live at, camping with the dogs in the near by mountains, watching movies (we currently have over 150 movies on tape) on a big screen magnavox tv with a pioneer surround sound system. On the same audio setup, we like to listen to new age, old C&W, classical, Irish, and scottish music. We also do alot of reading. We have a longlived and deep Christian belief in God and all His power. We do not go to any church. If you want to talk about this wonderful subject, I am always willing and quick to respond to any inquires.
My family (mother and father), and my wifes family came to this country in the early 1600's. That means, if you think about it, that we were here almost 200 years before the constitution was even written! My family was predominately German and My wifes family was Scottish. Some of the family names (on both sides) were: Ritchie, Jones, Kauffman, Schmitt, Harshbarger, White, LeBarre and Smith. We would love to hear from you, just drop us a note below.
